Army Emergency Relief (AER) was organized as a private nonprofit organization in February 1942 to provide emergency financial assistance to U.S. Army Soldiers (both active duty and retirees) and their eligible family members.

It is not just families of the fallen that will be impacted, but also families of our wounded, injured and Ill service members. Fisher House stands ready to respond on behalf of a grateful Nation, and because of our generous donors.

Air Force Aid Society is helping “to relieve distress of Air Force members and their families and assisting them to finance their education”. Air Force Chief of Staff recommends service members go to the Red Cross and Air Force Aid society for resources during the gov't shutdown.
